Danny John-Jules (April 2008)
We have recently found out that British TV Star Danny John-Jules is a huge Jackie fan and in particular loves Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin (in fact he loves it so much we had to send him a remastered version of the film on DVD recently).
Danny John-Jules is best known for playing the Cat and that character’s alter ego Duane Dibbley in the British BBC comedy series Red Dwarf. He originally obtained the part of the Cat by turning up half an hour late for his audition, dressed in his father’s old zoot suit. Danny was unaware that he was late and hence did not appear at all concerned with his tardiness. The producers immediately decided he was cool enough to be “The Cat”. Fellow Red Dwarf star Craig Charles said of Danny of being a lot like the cat as he had a lot of clothes. He said “If Danny changed his clothes every 10 seconds for the next 10 years he still wouldnt run out of clothes” .
