Collin Chou on Yuen Woo-ping
Our May 2008 Jade Screen cover star Collin Chou (Cantonese stage name: Ngai Sing), who plays The Jade Warlord in the recently released Forbidden Kingdom, describes Yuen Woo-ping as the best martial arts director working today and Ping is the one he enjoys working with the most. In fact, Chou likes him so much whenever Yuen Woo-ping invites him to work on one of his new projects, Chou never turns him down.
In Yuen Woo-ping’s upcoming directorial project Iron Mask, Collin Chou is expected to join the cast and crew. Recently Chou spoke out about Yuen Woo-ping: “Yuen Woo-ping’s techniques change and improve with the advancement of technology and filmmaking, he is vastly different from some of the older generations who are not receptive to changes or new ideas. Yuen Woo-ping is often willing to listen to suggestions of younger filmmakers, he is willing to employ their creative ideas, and combined with his years of experience in martial arts choreography, re-works on his own ideas. His martial arts direction often tells a story, like a graceful, beautiful ballet”.
Look out for more news and cast interviews from Iron Mask in Jade Screen later in the new year.

Collin Chou Is Also A Magnificent Actor, Can Play The Lead Or The Villain. Not Bad For A Hong Kong Actor Who Also Made Some Appearances In Holywood Movies.
