Hong Kong DVD distributor, Joy Sales have just announced their local release of the action blockbuster ‘Connected’ for early December 2008. The film is directed by Benny Chan Muk-sing (Rob-B-Hood, Invisible Target) and is the first all out Asian remake of a Hollywood movie, in this case it’s, ‘Cellular’ which starred Kim Basinger and Jason Statham.

Synopsis:

Louis Koo plays Bob, an out of luck divorcee and debt collector, who has broken one too many promises with his estranged son. As a court battle for custody threatens, Bob is given one final chance to redeem himself provided he spends time with his son. However, this simple task is thrown into chaos when he receives a random phone call from a woman (Barbie Hsu) who has been kidnapped by people who are pursuing her brother. Will he rescue the woman or will he see his son again?
