Next up for Director Benny Chan (New Police Story) is the action sci-fi film, Entire City On Red Alert. The film has been in development for over a year and a half and has a budget of 100 million yuan. It will be a co-production between Beijing Enlight Pictures and Universe Film.

Specific plot details are currently being withheld but they have revealed that some of the characters will be imbued with special abilities - paranormal/psychic/superhuman powers. Although Chan is aware that this will draw obvious comparisons with the current crop of Hollywood sci-fi films, he is keen to keep the film Asian at heart and will be adding numerous kung-fu fights into the mix.

Aaron Kwok Fu-sing and Jacky Wu Jing are being tipped to star and the film is scheduled to start shooting later this year.
