Herman Yau’s The First 7th Night

The First 7th NightThe trailer and poster art for Director Herman Yau’s new movie, The First 7th Night is now available. The film is a mystery/horror that opened on the 21st May 2009 and stars Cheung Chi-lam (Kidnap), Lam Ka-tung (Ip Man), Eddie Cheung (Connected) and Michelle Ye (Sniper).

Film Synopsis:

One day, a strange passenger by the name of Xiao Ma steps into the taxi of Map King. He offers a lot of money for King to take him to an abandoned old motel which was mysteriously burnt 30 years ago. Nobody knows about the existence of the motel and nobody talks about it but strangely enough King knows how to get to there.

Ah Fang is the owner of the Chun Lei motel. She lived a relatively peaceful life with her only son but that all changed when “The 4 Thieves” visited her motel on the seventh day after her husband’s death. Mysteriously the motel was on fire right after the meeting with no one to be found, and that is the way it has remained for 30 years. What actually happened to the motel? What’s the reason behind the fire? What strange things happened on and after the seventh day of Ah Fang’s Husband’s death?
