I Corrupt All Cops Opens In April

I corrupt All CopsDirector Wong Jing’s new action/thriller, I Corrupt All Cops is set to be released across Hong Kong on the 30th April 2009. The film focuses on the historial figure of Lee Le Gong, the same character made famous by Andy Lau in the film Lee Rock. The cast includes Tony Leung Kar-fai, Anthony Wong and Eason Chan.

Unsurprisingly, Jing believes that his film conveys a more accurate account of the events with Leung showing the truly “evil and cold hearted” side of a corrupt cop. He also feels that Lau was just too pretty for the role and stated, “I always think that the film Lee Rock is more towards love and actions, Andy being handsome cannot be denied, the audience had fall into the hardworking story of Lee Rock but forget about the truth of the building of the corrupted cop empire.”

Synopsis:

In the 1960s and 1970s, Hong Kong was a corrupted place where law existed only in theory and an anti-corruption agency was created to solve these problems. The leader of the corruption practices is Senior Inspector Lak (Nick Cheung) who soon becomes increasingly arrogant. The Hong Kong governor set up an Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) to deal with the corruption and Yan Guo Liang (Bowie Lam) is in charge of arresting Lak. Through sheer perseverance, they successfully bring down the corrupted police force.
