Keanu To Tackle Anime
Whether or not his performance in “The Day the Earth Stood Still” satisfied fans recently in the sci-fi camp, Keanu Reeves is sticking to the genre. He’s agreed to star in the big screen adaptation of Japanese anime television series “Cowboy Bebop,” which has yet to be scheduled for release.
Variety reporter that Reeves will star as Spike Spiegel, an adventurous bounty hunger travelling through space in the year 2071. Peter Craig has been tapped to write the screenplay; other actors have yet to be announced.
