Isabella Leong Ends Contract Dispute

Isabella Leong

varietyasiaonline.com reports that “The Mummy 3″ star Isabella Leong has ended her legal battle with her former management company, Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG), it was announced today.

A statement released by Leong’s publicity team said that an out-of-court settlement had been reached between Leong and EEG, with the 20-year-old actress “completely free to pursue her career as she wishes.”

The settlement comes after a writ filed in Hong Kong’s High Court by EEG in April, which sought damages for alleged breach of contractual obligations on Leong’s part.

This was followed by a counter-claim from Leong, contesting the 10 year management deal, and subsequent 10 year extensions, signed by her mother on her behalf with the media group when Leong was 12.
