It’s certainly been a while since we’ve heard anything about the upcoming Ong Bak 3 starring Thailand’s own action hero Tony Jaa. Well worry no more as we’ve finally got the first images from the film, along with confirmation that it is due for release across Thailand in May 2010.

Co-directed by Tony Jaa and Panna Rittikrai, the film will reportedly pick up just after the closing battle from part 2. Tien (Jaa) is left seriously wounded so it’s up to Pim (Primrata Detudom) and Mhen (Petchai Wongkamlao) to nurse him back to health. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get much time to rest as the Golden-Armored King’s Guard (Supakorn ‘Tok’ Kijusuwan), the mysterious killers in black, and Bhuti Sangkha (Dan Chupong) are all hot on his tail.
