Richard Norton in Hollywood (September 2005)
Our biggest and most fun event yet!! Our group of 14 left the UK for Los Angeles on September 21st and returned back on September 29th. During our stay in LA we got to do some amazing things!!
We got to attend the Richard Norton 25 Years Anniversary Celebrity VIP Dinner at the famous Bel Air Hotel!!
Have our own 2 hour personal training session/self-defence seminar with Richard Norton!!
Dine with Richard and his lovely wife, Judy, at our very own private Gala Chinese Dinner!!
And, if that wasn’t enough we also got to have fun at Universal Studios, go on a tour of the Movie Star Homes in Beverly Hills (Jackie Chan’s 2 properies were most impressive) and also visit some filming locations from Rush Hour!!
What The Fans Say
“Thanks for making a dream come true. Still can’t believe it. Back to normal life tomorrow. Many thanks to you all. Please be sure to contact me when the next Richard Norton event is (my bruises from last week’s seminar are healing!). It was an honour and a privlege to meet him” - Stuart Smith, Hertfordshire - UK
” Wow! What a trip to see Richard Norton in LA. He is a really nice guy, so friendly and it was a pleasure to meet him and his wife Judy. To be allowed to be part of the tribute to his 25 years in Motion Pictures at the Bel-Air Hotel was awesome, meeting such screen personalities as Cynthia Rothrock. The whole trip was so memorable, we look forward to the next one with eager anticipation”. - Ruth Preston, Derby - UK
“Thanks so much for all your hard work on the LA Trip! It was the best trip yet! See you guys on next UK event and I will definitely be back for the planned Hong Kong Trip in 2006!” - Richard Marley, Surrey - UK
“It was an absolute honour meeting Richard Norton! He was just the best. I will never forget all the glitz and glamour of the Bel Air Hotel and Hollywood and the bruises I got from the seminar were well worth it! See you soon!” - Thomas Giles, Sussex - UK
“We just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the trip to L.A. We found Richard and Judy Norton a really lovely couple. Richard was a real down to earth kind of guy and we really enjoyed the training session. We found his ideas and thoughts very inspiring. We’ve brought back some real good memories.Thank you both for organising all the events for the week and could you pass on a big ‘thank you’ to Richard and Judy for their hospitality. Looking forward to next time.” - Mike & Kathy Harwood, London - UK
“This is the third time I have been on a Screen Power / Jade Screen trip and they just keep getting better and better! This time we were off to Los Angeles to meet Richard Norton and to join in the celebrations marking his 25 years in the film and TV business. I can now admit to being a bit apprehensive beforehand - posh ‘do’ at the Bel Air Hotel; a self defence seminar and dinner with Richard and his lovely wife Judy. However, we were made to feel so welcome the nerves soon went. The ‘do’ was super and it was clear from all the speakers that Richard is held in high regard, not just as a martial artist but also as a person. The seminar was excellent and over all too soon. Richard talked about his background and training and tested a few moves on Stuart!
We practiced a few drills on each other and, having had a year off, I now resolve to get back into training asap! The dinner was very relaxed and informal. It struck me how quickly and easily we had taken to Richard and Judy and were happy chatting away with them. Richard answered all our questions, patiently signed pictures and posed for photos with us. We asked if our Richard (Cooper) had invited him to the UK…watch this space! Also present was David Tadman, editor of a book dedicated to Bruce Lee (’Regards From A Friend’) who kindly gave each of us signed copies of his book. It was a fabulous trip and I haven’t even mentioned Universal Studios, Venice Beach, Kodak Theatre, Paramount Studios….” - Jane Keitch, London - UK
