Acting was certainly not in the original game plan for Sam Lee (aka: Lee Chan Sam) but in 1997 the former electrician was spotted on the streets of Hong Kong by director Fruit Chan who was recruiting local amateurs for his then latest feature – the low budget drama Made in Hong Kong.

Upon its release, Made in Hong Kong received several awards from various domestic and international film festivals and Sam was even named Best Newcomer at the HKFA.

Since then Sam has been one busy guy on and off screen. He’s best loved for his appearances in the films Gen-X Cops and Bio Cops and most recently the acclaimed Dog Bite Dog directed by Cheng Po Sui.
