Jackie is playing an illegal immigrant from China this time, obviously his name can't be too Westernised like "Jackie", "Jerry" etc.

there's nothing wrong with the name, it is just a direct translation from chinese. It sounds odd, but if you think about it there are a lot of strange name in hollywood too (eg John Carpenter, Clint Eastwood, Dennis Hopper)

Anyway it doesn't sound odd in chinese (if you watch HK films they sometimes use outrageous names when it's translated literally to English

The film itself is great, but don't go in with a mindset that this is a Jackie Chan movie. It's a HK production that happened to have JC as the main character (he's great in it)

What kind of name is Steelhead for Jackie in this movie? The mind boggles... Surely Jackie and the movie company want the film to be taken seriously by Western audiences as well???
