The Jackie Chan Film Art Museum

jc-museum-model.jpgJackie Chan took part in a press conference to announce the start of construction on the Jackie Chan Film Art Museum in Shanghai, July 8, 2008

According to Sina.com, Jackie chose the location of the museum himself. It will be located in Shanghai’s Putuo District and built from renovated factories. When completed on October 1, 2009 it will take up about 3,100 square meters.

The museum will take guests on a journey through Chan’s life and career from his humble beginnings in Hong Kong through his rise to international fame. The museum will also focus on his charitable deeds throughout the years. Many of the awards Jackie has won, as well as the props and costumes he has kept will be on display.
