The Spy Next Door
It seems to be official that Jackie Chan’s next film will be an American “family comedy” called The Spy Next Door .
The plot sounds a little like the film that Jackie turned down a few years ago called The Pacifier. In this one, Jackie will play a man who has been asked to babysit his neighbor’s kids. When one of the kids accidentally downloads a secret code, he ends up having to fend off attacks from secret agents.
The film will be directed by Brian Levant, who has directed Are We There Yet? , Snow Dogs, and television episodes of Married With Children as well as the upcoming TV show Scooby Doo: In the Beginning. Levant has also written episodes of the classic television series Happy Days as well as Mork and Mindy.
The film’s writers are Jim Greer and Jonathan Bernstein. Bernstein’s writing credits include Just My Luck, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, and Max Keeble’s Big Move.
Jackie’s costars have yet to be announced, so check back with us for updates as they come in.
