Underground Premier
Underground is the new British action martial arts drama from Lancashire’s Intense Productions. The Premier screening recently took place in Lytham St. Annes with cast and crew in attendance (as well as us guys from Jade Screen). A UK DVD release is forthcoming and be sure to watch it - this film is a must see!!

In the UK suburbs, an underground tournament is set to challenge twelve fighters from different backgrounds to compete for the prize of £500,000. They have been handpicked for a no-holds barred competition that will push each fighter to their limit. Each fighter has his or her own reason for competing, and each will give everything to take the prize…but there can be only one winner…
Writer, director, producer Chee Keong Cheung has assembled some of the UK’s most prolific and talented martial arts and action talent including Mark Strange (a former National Chinese Full Contact Champion), Leon Sua (whose stunt credits include the last three James Bond films and ‘Batman Begins’) and Nathan Lewis (three time World Kickboxing Champion and Shadow Warrior in ‘Batman Begins’).
Chee Keong Cheung studied Film and Video at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design before forming Intense Productions in 1999. Intense is a critically acclaimed UK production and facilities company based in Lancashire . It has developed, produced, consulted, advised and provided production services for over fifty productions. Chee’s recent credits include the critically acclaimed short film ‘Crashing the Wake’; award-winning music video ‘Young & Foolish’ featuring British singing sensation Corinne Bailey-Rae; the action adventure film ‘Displaced’; and the feature film drama ‘Sabina’, which is executive produced by Martin Scorsese with Academy Award winning cinematographer Jack Cardiff OBE on board as creative consultant.
