Update: Jackie Chan Shinjuku Incident

Shinjuku Incident

Promotion as well as a Hong Kong release date on Jackie Chan’s new movie Shinjuku Incident has slowed right down. The movie was scheduled back in the Summer to be released in Hong Kong on September 25th but has now been put back for reasons unknown.

Some reports in from Malyasia have the film originally released in November but now put off until March 2009. Being that this new movie is a big change in direction for the Chanster and geared heavily towards drama with very little martial arts action perhaps additional shooting and editing is required to make sure the film works even better. Plus with two other projects due for release shortly with Jackie’s association/envolvement (namely Benny Chan’s “Connected” in September 2008 and Antony Szeto’s “WuShu” in October 2008) - maybe Jackie doesnt want his own big project to over shadow these others…
